I was working out at the gym recently and asked the guy next to me what he thought about the steroid investigation being done once again on Lance Armstrong. Apparently, the U.S. Anti Doping Association is on a mission to see if Armstrong engaged in a massive conspiracy to use performing enhancing drugs from 1998 to 2011. The man quickly said enough already, why do they keep pressing this issue? Look we need some organization in place like the USADA to keep things honest but the overkill is out of control. Armstrong is a hero to most Americans with his courageous winning battle against cancer which continues to give people hope that serious health issues can be overcome. During Armstrong’s 13 year career in cycling he took, get this, more than 500 drug tests and never failed one. We just came off of a federal perjury trial with pitcher Roger Clemens stating he lied to Congress about steroids. That huge, unnecessary courtroom expense that we paid for came with a not guilty verdict. I don’t know whether or not Lance Armstrong used any illegal performance substances but when you take 500 tests there is a chance that something would show up. Nothing did. Armstrong leaves an unbelievable legacy in cycling and it is time to let him move into middle age gracefully. What do you think?Lance Armstrong
