precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Chester.
* WHEN...From Monday morning to Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Unleveed islands near Chester and the
prison farm floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tomorrow morning to a crest of 29.2 feet early Wednesday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
