Nice and quiet for Easter Sunday (4/8/23)

As we head into Easter Sunday, the weather will cooperate if you’re planning on getting outdoors. There may be some lingering low clouds in the southern sections of the FOX 23 coverage area on Sunday morning, but sunshine will dominate overall for just about everyone.

We’ll make another run for 70° on Easter Sunday. We’re forecasting a high of 71° in Cape Girardeau, but there may be a few locations stuck in the upper-60s.

The weather remains very quiet for most of next week. We expect lots of sunshine, and temperatures will gradually warm. By mid-week, high temperatures should be in the middle-70s. Rain chances look fairly low. However, we could be dealing with a couple of spotty showers by next weekend.
