Warming trend continues, weekend storm chances increase
The warming trend continues for the end of our work week. Temperatures will reach the lower 90s and upper 80s on Thursday. Friday and Saturday will remain in the lower 90s, only warming up slightly more. Storm chances are possible the next three days.
Chance for storms increases on Sunday, damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The Storm Alert Team will continue to track the storm activity as it arrives.
An hourly look at Thursday, our temperatures warm into the lower 90s. We’ll see mostly sunny skies for our morning, with storm chances arriving in the afternoon.
Many upper 80s and lower 90s for our Thursday temperatures. Wind speeds from the southwest at 5-15 mph stay on the lighter side heading into the evening.
With lower wind speeds and average humidity levels, our Skeeter Meter ranking for Thursday is on the lower end. Both Friday and Saturday we will see an increase in our humidity levels, causing a medium ranking for mosquito activity.
The next few days we will see a warming trend with on and off storm chances. There is a smaller chance for storms on Friday, before possible severe storms arrive for Father’s Day on Sunday. Storm chances will continue into the start of your next work week.
