Near record heat headed our way
After one more near normal day for temperatures, it is going to get hot. Very hot. In fact, temperatures will get very close to our all-time record highs on Thursday and Friday! There are a few rain chances, but nothing is very promising.
First, the good news. It’s going to be warm on Wednesday, but near what our normal high is. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies expected.
We will all be in the 90s on Wednesday. Lower 90s to the north, middle 90s to the south. There’s just a small chance for a shower in the morning.
Then we warm up. A lot. Triple digit heat is expected Thursday and we will be very close to all-tie record highs. The highest Cape Girardeau has been was 107 set back on June 29, 2012.
It’ll be extremely hot again on Friday.
Because of this heat, Excessive Heat Watches and Warnings as well as a Heat Advisory is in place Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
