Heavy rain potential
The next several days have a chance for showers and storms, some of which may bring with it some heavy rain. Temperatures will be cooler than average, but only for a few days.
The best chance for rain on Tuesday will be in central Missouri, but we may see a few showers and storms, too.
Stormcast has the bulk of the 1-2″ rain potential well to our west.
That threat moves east Wednesday morning with rain possible much of the day. Some areas may see more than an inch of rain by Wednesday afternoon.
Then another heavier wave moves through dropping another 1-5″+ of rain across our area. This is just a potential for now, but with some of this flooding rain happening in areas that saw massive flooding not too long ago, an early heads up is warranted.
The Marginal to Slight Risk for flooding is to our west on Tuesday.
Then the flooding risk is right over the top of us for Wednesday into early Thursday.
Storms remain in the forecast all the way through the next weekend. Temperatures will be on the rise, too.
With the added rain, heat, humidity, and lack of wind, the mosquito potential is high.
