Mild with storms possible Saturday
It’s going to be very mild this weekend with temperatures 15 degrees above average (44). There’s a chance for storms Saturday evening, as well.
We’ll warm up quickly into the upper 50s and lower 60s Saturday afternoon with a light northwest breeze.
Much of the day will be dry, but the storm chance moves in after sunset.
Below is what our StormCast model is showing for timing and duration.
There is a small severe weather threat for our area, but the better chance will be much further south. Louisiana and Mississippi have an Enhanced Risk in place for Saturday evening.
While the severe weather threat is low, the heavy rain chance is high. Over an inch of rain is likely by early Sunday morning for just about all of us.
More rain chances move into our area Monday and Tuesday next week. We eventually cool off, too.
