High Risk for heavy rain Saturday

There is a rare “HIGH RISK” in place for excessive rainfall for parts of Kentucky and Tennessee Saturday. Several inches of rain is possible during this time.

Excessive Rainfall

Because of the potential for a lot of rain in 24 hours, FLOOD WATCHES are in place for much of the viewing area and areas south and east.

Flood Watch

Our StormCast weather model is showing moderate to heavy rainfall starting as early as Saturday morning and lasting through Saturday night.

Rainfall totals will range from around an inch for parts of SE Missouri to over 4″ in Kentucky and Tennessee where the Flood Watches are in place.

There is also a chance for some isolated strong to severe storms as the storms move through Saturday. Damaging wind is the main concern but an isolated tornado or hail is possible.
