A hot and very humid week ahead

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue each afternoon through this week. The strongest storms may pose an isolated threat of damaging winds. Heavy rainfall will accompany all storms that develop. The work week will start out hot and humid, heat indices will climb into the triple digits throughout the region Wednesday through Friday.

Through tonight, a few rain showers will linger into parts of Kentucky. Tuesday afternoon, widespread  thunderstorms will develop across the region and move NE through the evening hours.

Tuesday afternoon, high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s and a few low 90s across the region. A few degrees warmer in some spots. We will be getting hotter and muggier by the middle of this week.

Dew points across the area Tuesday in the 70s. Definitely feeling muggy out there this week.

Due to the increase in moisture, temperatures will feel 5-10 degrees hotter. Some spots feeling like triple digits by mid afternoon.
