Scattered storms Tuesday afternoon and evening
The summer -time heat and humidity will continue through the next 7 days. Temperatures will stay near 90-95 degrees, with heat index values near 97-104 degrees.
Tuesday afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorm will develop near noon and continue through 9pm Tuesday night. The strongest cells could have lots of lightning, heavy downpours and gusty winds just below severe parameters. Wednesday through Friday, scattered showers will continue across the region. This weekend looks to be a bit hot, with temperatures close to the upper 90s and sunny skies.
Tuesday afternoon, scattered storms will begin to develop across the region near noon- 1pm. Some storms could have some gusty winds and heavy downpours as well as cloud to ground (CG) lightning. Scattered thunderstorm activity will die down by 9pm Tuesday night.
Tuesday, high temperatures will mostly be in the lower 90s. Some areas will be cooler due to increasing cloud cover and scattered showers and storms.
The humidity will begin to increase slightly through this week.
Heat index values will feel like 96- 103 degrees each day this week.
