Seasonable Temperatures Continue, Afternoon Showers Possible
Forecast:
Temperatures today will once again reach the lower 90s in Cape Girardeau with mostly sunny skies. A stray shower or thundestorm wil be possible this evening with a light breeze.
Low temperatures across our area tonight will drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s with partly cloudy skies. A light and variable breeze continues this evening.
Forecast high temperatures for Thursday will look very similar to Wednesday, reaching the lower 90s. Mostly sunny skies and a light breeze continue through most of the day.
High temperatures in Cape will reach the lower 90s after spending most of the morning in the 80s. Mostly sunny skies ahead for Thursday, with a possible shower during the afternoon hours and a light and variable breeze.
Stormcast shows extremely scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon.
The heat index will reach the upper 90s on Thursday, with a few of our southern counties reaching the triple digits.
As summer continues to march on, so will the humidity. Dew points are expected to reach at least 75 degrees for the remainder of the forecast.
Temperatures climb heading into the weekend into the upper 90s. This warmer stretch will continue into next week, with a small chance of showers possible on Tuesday.
