Hot and humid, cooler by the weekend
An Extreme Heat Warning is in place for our southern viewing area through Tuesday evening. The heat index will be around 110 degrees Tuesday afternoon.
A Heat Advisory is in place for our entire viewing area through Tuesday evening. The heat index will be between 100 and 108 degrees Tuesday afternoon.
Below are signs for heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Know the signs!
It won’t take long to warm up on Tuesday. We get into the 90s before noon and top out in the middle and upper 90s by the afternoon.
The heat index shoots up quick, too. Nearing 110 degrees by early and mid afternoon!
Record highs are in the upper 90s and low 100s for Tuesday, so we’ll be close to that.
With dew points in the mid 70s, it’s going to be very muggy.
The heat index will be dangerously high. Find the AC often and check on the very young, the very old, and your pets often!
We may see a few storms Tuesday afternoon, but it won’t cool us off much.
