A smooth morning commute ahead for the last day before the long holiday weekend. Mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s and 60s on Friday morning.
Mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s for the drive home on Friday as well.
High temperatures will be near average on Friday with mostly sunny skies. A light breeze out of the east-northeast and lower levels of humidity ahead.
For Cape Girardeau, temperatures will reach the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies and an east-northeast wind between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
A spot shower or two will be possible north of our viewing area on Friday. Stormcast shows our area clear of precipitation heading into the weekend.
Drier conditions continue into the holiday weekend with dew points remaining below 70 degrees through the start of next week.
High temperatures will stay near average for the upcoming holiday weekend in the mid-80s with plenty of sunshine. Smal chances of rain hit the forecast as we head towards the middle portions of next week. Another cold front will reach the heartland late next week, plunging temperatures back to well below average in the upper 70s.
