Scattered Friday Afternoon Showers, Storm Chances Continue
Forecast:
Temperatures have struggled throughout the day today in Cape, with our forecast highs expected this afternoon in the upper 80s. A scattered shower or thunderstorm is still possible this afternoon with partly cloudy skies.
Stormcast shows that any showers we see the rest of the day on Friday will remain fairly isolated.
Low temperatures tonight drop to the lower to mid-60s with mostly clear skies. Winds will be light and variable this evening, overall a pleasant start to the weekend.
A few areas of patchy fog will be possible on Saturday morning with isolated storm chances throughout the day. Highs tomorrow will once again reach the upper 80s with a light breeze in Cape.
Stormcast shows scattered storms for our counties in Southern Illinois by 10 a.m. on Saturday. Storm chances are expected to be fairly scattered, so best to be prepared for a few sprinkles just in case.
High temperatures across the heartland will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s on Saturday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, but otherwise mostly sunny across our viewing area.
Temperatures continue to be in the 80s through the weekend and for the start of the work week. Scattered showers and thunderstorms this weekend before more substantial chances for rain move in early next week, hopefully providing some drought improvement. Temperatures continue to fall late next week into the upper 70s and lower 80s.
