Sunshine continues across the Heartland as we close out the work week in Cape Girardeau. Temperatures will linger in the 80s through the dinner hour tonight, before dropping into the 70s closer to midnight.
Other than a very few brief showers, Stormcast keeps most of our area clear from precipitation through the weekend. A few fair-weather clouds will be possible.
Low temperatures across our area will inch closer to average this evening under mostly clear skies.

An upper-level disturbance moves across the Heartland, bringing scattered showers for our area early next week. Mostly sunny skies follow a passing cold front on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping into the mid-70s.
