Severe weather returns to the Heartland on Saturday with Cape Girardeau under a Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 5) of severe weather. An isolated tornado, large hail, and damaging winds will be possible tomorrow afternoon and into the evening.

Forecast:
Temperatures remain on the warmer side for Cape this evening as we stay in the upper 60s through midnight. Expect cloud cover to increase as we head into the overnight hours.
Forecast lows will be well above average in the lower to middle 60s.
Partly cloudy skies tonight in Cape Girardeau with temperatures falling to the lower 60s with a light southerly wind.
Before storms roll in, temperatures will climb to the 80s on Saturday afternoon. Winds will be strong ahead of the passing cold front, gusting up to 25 miles per hour.
We should crack 80 degrees tomorrow afternoon before seeing showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening.
After storms pass through Saturday, we quiet down for a few days with seasonable temperatures returning to the forecast. Highs in the mid-60s and upper 70s with storm chances returning for the back half of next week.
