Winter weather looks to move into the Heartland, with impacts reaching our area as early as tomorrow afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for our southern and eastern counties until 6 a.m. CST on Tuesday, December 2.
Stormcast shows a chance for wintry mix Monday afternoon, followed by snow showers as we head into the evening and overnight hours.
Forecast snow accumulations range from 1-2″ with potential travel impacts for the Tuesday morning commute.

Colder temperatures continue to work their way into the area, with highs just off to our north and west only reaching the 30s on Sunday.
Overnight lows are expected to be chilly in the upper teens and lower-to-middle 20s.
Mostly cloudy skies overnight in Cape Girardeau, but we can expect cold temperatures as we start the work week on Monday morning.
Colder air arrives for most of us throughout the day on Monday. High temperatures tomorrow will be close to 15 degrees below average in some spots, only reaching the middle and upper 30s.
Mosty cloudy for the majority of our Monday in Cape, before chances for wintry mix and snow increase by Monday evening.
Sunshine returns on Tuesday with highs close to freezing before a brief warm up on Wednesday. We stay dry with another chance of mixed precipitation on Friday, with highs well below average in the 30s and 40s.
