Close to Average, More Sunshine for Saturday
Overcast skies are expected to continue for the rest of the afternoon across the Heartland. Temperatures continue to struggle, likely only reaching the middle 30s for the rest of Friday.
There is a small chance for rain this evening, but the latest runs of StormCast keep most of us dry. The majority of this evening’s rainfall will stay south of the Missouri-Arkansas line.
Temperatures overnight will be above average for early January, but most of us can expect chilly temperatures nonetheless.
We should see mostly cloudy skies tonight in Cape Girardeau, but a few sprinkles cannot be ruled out.
Forecast highs on Saturday look to be close to average across our area.
Expect a cloudy start to the day on Saturday, followed by afternoon sunshine in Cape. Highs tomorrow are expected in the lower 40s.
Near-average temperatures continue on Sunday with a little more sunshine (fitting!) with highs in the lower 40s.
Temperatures jump for the start of the work week with highs in the 50s and 60s. Chances for rain enter the forecast late Wednesday and look to continue into Thursday.
