Chilly, Flurries Possible on Sunday
A chilly Saturday evening awaits in Cape Girardeau with temperatures in the 20s the rest of the way.
Overnight lows across the Heartland will drop to the teens, with a few spots close to the single digits.
Clear skies tonight will keep us chilly in Cape, with wind chills below the 10-degree mark.
We will try to sneak above freezing in most spots on Sunday with some help from a strong south-southwesterly wind.
The latest runs of StormCast show a chance for a few afternoon flurries, but these snow showers will remain isolated with no accumulations expected.
The best chance for Cape to see a couple flurries will be during the afternoon hours, otherwise chilly and partly sunny for our Sunday.
Temperatures fall once again on MLK day with highs in the mid 20s before we return closer to normal by the middle of the upcoming work week. A small chance of precipitation will be possible late Wednesday, ahead of growing chances for moisture with another cold air surge next weekend.
