Warmer, Breezy for Sunday
We will warm up across the Heartland on Sunday as high temperatures reach the 70s. We may see a few passing clouds during the afternoon, but overall, we should be in for a sunny close to the weekend.
The latest run of StormCast keeps us dry through the rest of the weekend.
Temperatures Saturday night into Sunday morning will be near-average, with overnight lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
We look to reach the upper 30s in Cape Girardeau under mostly clear skies and a light breeze.
Highs on Sunday will close in on 10 degrees above average across the Heartland.
Winds will pick up in Cape throughout the day, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. The southerly wind will usher in warmer air, bringing our afternoon temperatures into the 70s.
Temperatures continue to rise for the start of the work week, with highs in the 80s on Monday and Tuesday. A cold front moves through late Tuesday night which will bring the chance for showers and possibly a stray thunderstorm. Rain chances continue for the first few days in April.
