Thursday Severe Weather Potential:
Severe weather will be possible on Thursday, starting in the afternoon and continuing into the evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather in place, meaning isolated severe storms are possible for our area. All severe hazards will be possible for stronger storms.

Forecast:
Low temperatures are expected to be very mild this evening, with most of the region only getting down to the middle to upper 60s.
Overcast skies this evening in Cape Girardeau with a southerly wind gusting up to 25 miles per hour.
Despite Thursday’s storm chances, we will still see highs well above average across the viewing area.
Chances for precipitation increase throughout the day on Thursday in Cape, with showers and potentially a strong to severe thunderstorm possible in the afternoon.
Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms will join the warmer weather into the weekend. For the moment, storm chances look to be wrapped up by Easter, joined by more seasonal highs in the 60s. We stay dry through the start of next week.
