Severe Storms Likely Thursday Afternoon
Thursday afternoon & evening, a few SEVERE thunderstorms will sweep across the region. Isolated tornadoes, damaging winds & large hail will be the main threats with these discrete cells.

By 2pm this afternoon, discreste storms begin to develop in SE Missouri. These first storms have the best potential for large hail and a brief tornado.
By 3-5pm, Storms will try and converge over the Cape Girardeau area. These storms will carry a damaging wind, large hail & tornado threat as they move east.
Wind gusts up to 65+ mph will be possible with these storms.
