Mostly sunny skies are expected to end the work week, though chances for showers and thunderstorms increase for Friday evening.
The latest runs of StormCast keep us quiet for most of the day on Friday, but chances for showers and possibly a thunderstorm will increase during the late afternoon and early evening. Severe potential will be minimal with these storms.
Another mild evening ahead for most of us as overnight lows drop to the 50s.
Clear skies are expected for Cape Girardeau for the start of the day on Friday. Temperatures will be in the low 50s as we head out the door.
Upper 70s and lower 80s hit the forecast once again as a stretch of warmer temperatures is expected to continue for much of the week ahead.
We will try for temperatures close to 80 degrees in Cape, with chances for showers and thunderstorms increasing close to dinner time.
We look to stay mostly dry for the weekend and on the warmer side. Highs continue in the 80s, going into what will be a very active start to the work week. Chances for severe weather are being monitored for Monday and Wednesday.
