Sunny for Tuesday, Temperatures Close to Average
After multiple rounds of storms for the viewing area, the next couple of days look to be calm and sunny across the Heartland. Mostly sunny skies are expected for Tuesday, with seasonal high temperatures.
The latest run of StormCast insists on a quick shower early on Tuesday, though the majority of us look to stay dry.
Lows will be at or above average for Monday night into Tuesday morning with a light north-northeasterly breeze.
We may see a stray shower in Cape Girardeau, but otherwise, partly cloudy skies are expected for the start of the day on Tuesday.
After morning cloud cover clears, we should see mostly sunny skies on Tuesday, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
We are looking at a fairly typical early-June afternoon for Cape on Tuesday.
Temperatures gradually warm up through the work week, though dry air should keep us dry until late Friday. Storm chances return by the weekend, with highs remaining in the 80s.
