Warm Friday Ahead, Weekend Storm Chances
A warm early June day on the way to close out the work week. Expect a mix of clouds and sun as temperatures climb to the mid and upper 80s.
Passing cloud cover will be a staple in the Friday forecast. The latest runs of StormCast try to start up a quick shower or two, but most of us will remain dry.
Lows tonight will be seasonally mild under overcast skies in the Heartland.
We will fall to the mid-60s overnight in Cape Girardeau with a light southeast breeze.
Friday afternoon will be warm for many of us, with highs closing in on the upper 80s.
We should see some sunshine near lunchtime in Cape, followed by mostly sunny to partly sunny skies during the afternoon.
Highs will jump around from the mid-80s to the lower 90s with chances for storms picking up on Sunday. Those storm chances will continue into next week, with near daily chances of precipitation.
