Mostly Sunny, Warm for Wednesday

A sunny and warm day ahead for the Heartland on Wednesday! It will be important to stay hydrated as we brace for warmer temperatures in the afternoon!

We should see a fair amount of sunshine on Wednesday. Above is the latest run of StormCast, showing a few passing clouds for the afternoon, but dry through Thursday morning.

We start the day on Wednesday with mild conditions as overnight lows only fall to the 70s.

It should be quiet through the overnight hours in Cape Girardeau, with mostly clear skies and light winds expected.

Highs are expected to be well above average across the viewing area. Wednesday afternoon will feature temperatures in the lower 90s with a south-southwesterly breeze.

It will feel like summer on Wednesday in Cape with highs reaching the lower 90s. On a positive note, we should get plenty of sunshine.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast late Thursday evening, with daily chances for showers and storms through the weekend. Temperatures will trend cooler for the start of next week.
