Half and half weekend
Father’s Day weekend will be half and half. The first half, dry and warm. The second half, stormy and warm. We dry out for part of next week.
On Saturday, it’s really looking like a nice day. Maybe a little humid, but an overall nice day. Sunday will have a chance at some storms, though. We’ll get to that in a minute…
For Saturday, we’ll see partly cloudy skies, a calm wind, and temperatures near normal.
The dew point will be in the 60s, so overall not a lot of humidity. Should make for a very nice day.
Heading into Sunday (Father’s Day), storms will become likely. Most of our area is in a level 2 Slight Risk for severe storms.
While storms will be possible on and off Sunday, the better chance for severe storms will be with a line that moves through late afternoon into the early evening. Above shows what we may see around 8pm Sunday.
After Sunday, we may see some lingering storms early Monday, then we dry out for much of the week. Just a small storm chance by mid week.
