Here is a look at storm timing for the rest of the evening and into early Monday morning, as shown by the latest run of StormCast.
Scattered severe storms remain possible through the overnight hours. A Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 5) is in place with all severe weather hazards possible in the strongest storms.
Forecast:
Lows tonight will be a touch mild in the lower 70s. Heavy cloud cover from our storm chances may help us hang onto some heat overnight.
Storms are likely for the Cape Girardeau area, especially before midnight. Mostly cloudy skies to follow for the Monday morning commute.
Highs on Monday will be on the cooler side for late June. Scattered showers remain possible throughout the day, which may help bring down our temperatures.
Partly sunny skies in Cape with a few afternoon showers on Monday. Winds will shift out of the north-northwest up to 15 miles per hour.
Storm chances return to the forecast on Wednesday and look to stay through the end of the work week. Highs will slowly recover into the middle and upper 80s.
