Heat continues, storm chances by Friday
The heat is the main story all the way through Friday. Storm chances start to pick up Friday into the weekend, but they are small storm chances.
There is an EXTREME HEAT WARNING and HEAT ADVISORY through Friday. The heat index will be up to 115 in the pink shaded area and up to 109 in the orange shaded area.
High temperatures on Wednesday will mostly be in the mid 90s, which isn’t too far from normal.
The dew point, however, continues to be very high. Lots of middle 70s are expected.
This means our heat index will be well into the 100s.
While the afternoons will be hot and humid, the early morning temperatures cool off, but not by a lot. Lots of 70s are expected early Thursday.
More middle 90s for highs on Thursday.
The middle 90s for highs continues all the way into Friday.
We slowly see the afternoon highs drop back into the low 90s by early next week.
