Sunny, Quiet Start to the Week
Clear skies and quiet weather for the start of the work week in the Heartland. Winds out of the north and east continue to bring a little relief from summertime temperatures.
A quiet StormCast is more than welcome after a busy weekend of severe weather for the Heartland.
Lows tonight will be at or below average for the viewing area, with temperatures falling to the upper 60s and lower 70s.
A quiet close to the weekend in Cape Girardeau with a calm Monday morning commute ahead.
Highs will be a couple of degrees below average for mid-July owing to a northerly breeze. Expect plenty of sunshine across the viewing area after a stormy weekend.

Storm chances return to the forecast on Tuesday and stick around through Thursday afternoon. Severe potential will be monitored for the coming days, followed by highs returning to the 90s for the end of the week.
