Hot, Humid to end the Weekend

A warm summer day on the way to end the weekend with mostly sunny skies in the Heartland. Winds will be light, though higher heat and humidity will be noticeable.

The latest run of StormCast keeps us clear of storm chances through the end of the weekend. Patchy fog will be possible on Sunday morning, especially for low-lying areas.

Temperatures tonight will fall to the upper 60s and lower 70s under mostly clear skies and light winds for the viewing area.

Higher humidity and lighter winds will bring another chance for patchy fog to start the day on Sunday. Reduced visibility will be possible for any early Sunday plans, though we should see the fog burn off after sunrise.

Sunday afternoon will feature temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Mostly sunny skies continue to end the weekend.

Sunny and humid in Cape as air temperatures reach the lower 90s. Winds will be light and out of the south for the majority of the afternoon.

Feels-like temperatures will reach the upper 90s and lower triple digits, which could make any prolonged time outdoors uncomfortable. If your Sunday afternoon plans take you outside, drink plenty of water, and monitor yourself and others for signs of heat illness.

Temperatures continue to build into the start of the work week with a shift to a more active weather pattern by midweek. Chances for showers and thunderstorms round out the work week forecast, with highs back down into the middle 80s.
