Isolated Storms Friday Night, Warm and Sunny for Saturday
Isolated storm chances remain in the forecast for the rest of Friday evening for the southeastern portions of the viewing area. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather is in place, with damaging winds the main concern in the strongest storms.

Isolated storm chances continue through Friday evening, though they will wrap up shortly after midnight. The latest run of StormCast shows a quiet start to the weekend.
Temperatures tonight drop to the upper 60s to lower 70s throughout the viewing area.
Patchy fog cannot be ruled out in Cape Girardeau heading into the start of the day on Saturday. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies through the overnight.
Highs will be above average once again for the start of the weekend. Saturday afternoon will feature temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
After a few passing morning clouds and fog, we should see mostly sunny skies in Cape. Afternoon temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s.
Highs will be near 90 degrees for the majority of the week ahead, with plenty of sunshine for the Heartland. Chances for storms look to hold out until late next week as temperatures return to the 80s.
