Pleasant Weather Continues
Thursday looks to be another pleasant and seasonal day in the Heartland. A mix of clouds and sun will be possible, with gradual clearing by late afternoon and early evening.
The latest run of StormCast shows a mixture of clouds and sun through the day on Thursday. We are expected to stay dry through the rest of the work week.
Temperatures will start in the 50s early Thursday morning across the viewing area.
Mostly cloudy skies in Cape Girardeau will try to keep a little of our daytime heat in through the overnight hours. Winds will remain light out of the north and northeast.
Temperatures will reach the mid-70s in the Heartland, though breaks in the cloud cover could push afternoon temperatures into the lower 80s.
Variable cloud cover will linger through the first half of the day in Cape, with a better chance of seeing some sun throughout the afternoon. A northerly wind will help keep humidity at bay.
Mostly sunny skies help just about everyone reach the 80s on Friday. Winds will remain light as we close out the work week.
Our next best chance for showers comes late Saturday and into early Sunday. Temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to mid-80s through the next seven days, with additional precipitation chances by the middle of next week.
