Cool Fall Weather This Weekend, Frost Possible Sunday Morning

Cooler fall weather continues for the start of the weekend, with highs returning to the 60s. Winds will be on the lighter side under mostly sunny skies.

The latest runs of StormCast show a quiet start to the weekend ahead. Keep an eye out for some cooler temperatures the next couple of mornings.

Afternoon temperatures will be once again below average on Saturday afternoon. Mostly sunny skies will help us enjoy a cooler fall day!

Winds could be a little breezy at times in Cape Girardeau, though nothing that should ruin any outdoor plans. Highs will reach the lower 60s, which is close to 10 degrees below average for mid-October.

Our first frost of the fall season looks to be on the way early Sunday morning as air temperatures slip below 30 degrees in the Heartland. It will not stick around long though, Sunday afternoon will see highs back to the middle 60s.

We continue to warm up heading into next week under mostly sunny skies. Rain chances look to be few and far between through the weekend and the week ahead.
