Drier for a day, then more rain (12/30/22)
There may be a little bit of drizzle or light rain early Saturday, then we dry out through Sunday. More storm and rain chances move back in Monday, some of which may include quite a bit more rain. Temperatures through the weekend will be well above average. We’ll even be very close to record highs on Monday and Tuesday next week!
We’ll top out in the lower and middle 50s for Saturday, which is a good 10 degrees above average for the end of December.
All of us will be in the 50s on Saturday, with an outside shot at 60 further south and east. Clouds will likely hinder that from happening, though.
If you’re staying up until midnight to ring in the new year, it’s going to be a nice night! Partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the middle 40s.
As we head into the beginning of the week, there is a chance we could see some severe weather Monday evening. We’ll be on the very northern fringe of this severe weather threat with the better chance in Arkansas and Louisiana.
Highs will be in the 60s Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday before we get that cold front move through Monday and Tuesday. That will drag with it some colder air cooling us off on Wednesday and beyond.
