Cape Girardeau Historic Preservation Commission hosts historic buildings tour

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau Historic Preservation Commission hosted a tour Monday of historic buildings in honor of Historic Preservation Month.

The tour consisted of the new City Hall, Common Pleas Courthouse, and the Carnegie Library.

The tour was led by Dr. Steven Hoffman, Professor and Historic Preservation Program Coordinator for Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and Dr. Adam Criblez, Professor of History at SEMO.

“The tour offers an opportunity for people to learn a little bit more about their community to learn a little bit more about the unique historic character of this place that they’re attached to,” explained Dr. Steven Hoffman.
