Mary Mingle 5K raises money for Community Counseling Center

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Mary Mingle 5K brought out dozens of runners/walkers on Saturday to raise money for the Community Counseling Center.

This walker and runner-friendly event supports the Community Counseling Center to restore, bring hope, motivate, and inspire healing to regional mental health clients living with the challenges of mental illnesses and mental health disorders in our five-county service area.

The race began near Mary Jane Bourbon and Smokehouse and finished at Minglewood Brewery in downtown Cape Girardeau on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Awards were given to first through third place in each age group. There were also contests for the best holiday spirit and ugliest Christmas sweater.
