Houston Hall
Houston Doyle Hall is a meteorologist with KBSI FOX23, driven by a passion for weather that began at an early age. His interest was sparked after witnessing a powerful lightning strike that shook the ground beneath him and struck a neighboring home — an experience that inspired his desire to better understand severe weather and its impacts.
Hall graduated from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in May 2024 with a degree in atmospheric science. During his academic career, he volunteered with the National Weather Service, completed a job-shadowing experience with CBS Chicago, and served as an officer in the American Meteorological Society’s Corpus Christi student chapter. He has also chased storms across New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.
Originally from central Texas near Austin, Hall has lived in several regions, including the Texas coast, Las Vegas and Vladivostok, Russia. He enjoys being outdoors and is excited to experience all four seasons — including his first winter snowfall.
Outside the weather center, Hall enjoys playing and watching basketball, attending concerts and staying active. His long-term goals include helping communities prepare for severe weather and assisting those affected by storm damage.
One of his favorite quotes comes from Denzel Washington: “Don’t aspire to make a living; aspire to make a difference.”
