Cape Central Tigers Girls Swim & Dive team win multiple medals at state championships

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Several Cape Central members of the Swim & Dive team won medals in the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Swim and Dive Finals held in St. Peters from February 16-18.

The team won third place at the 2023 Class 1 Girls Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Tigers won the state championship of the 200 Yard Free Relay with a time of 1:38.52.

The Tigers also won the 400 Yard Free Relay with a time of 3:33.95.

Tommy Anne Marriott won the Class 1 Diving championship and Lydia Cao finished fifth place.

Addison Ringwald finished 6th place at state in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.95.

Emilie Dickson finished fifth place in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:20.11. Marianne dean finished tenth place in the consolation final with a time of 2:13.89.

Marianne Dean finished 7th place in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:15.70. Addison Ringwald finished 9th place with a time of 5:21.09.

Sydney Ringwald finished second place inthe 500 Yard Free with a time of 23.79 seconds.

Ringwald finished second place in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 51.73 seconds.

Bella Pattengill finished 11th place in the consolation final with a time of 55.43 seconds.

Emilie Dickson finished fourth place in the 100 Yard Fly with a time of 58.14 seconds.
