Wainwright to make MLB rehab start in Springfield Wednesday
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KBSI) – St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright is expected to make an MLB rehab start in Springfield on Wednesday, April 19.
Wainrwright began the season on the injured list with an injured groin.
Wainwright was in line for his seventh opening day start in what’s slated to be his final season.
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told reporters in March before a St. Louis’ spring training game against the New York Yankees that Wainwright could miss several weeks.
