90s for a While (6/28/22)
The 90s are back in the forecast and they are going to be staying around for a while.
Temperatures are getting back to the summertime feel with highs in the low 90s on Wednesday. It won’t feel quite as hot, though, since the dewpoint will only be in the 50s. This means the humidity won’t be too bad. That happens on Thursday.
With highs in the lower and middle 90s on Thursday and Friday, it’ll already be hot. Factor in a dewpoint that will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s and we’re looking at a heat index that will be in the upper 90s and lower 100s. Also, while Wednesday and Thursday will be dry, there is a chance for storms on Friday.
A warm but non-humid day will give us a low rating on the Skeeter Meter on Wednesday. The heat and increased humidity kicks it up to a medium on Thursday, then add in a chance for rain on Friday and we’re all the way up to a high level!
The 90s will continue all the way through the 4th of July weekend with storms possible Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
