Above average heading into the weekend (1/5/23)
After a somewhat breezy day with highs in the lower 50s, we’ll cool down plenty heading into the overnight hours. In fact, overnight lows in the upper 20s will be pretty standard for what we normally expect this time of year.
Some cloud cover rolled in this afternoon, but we’ll be mostly clear tonight for some good weather as we head toward a full moon tomorrow.
Highs will be similar to today, nearing the lower 5os once more with light winds out of the southwest. Another day of quiet sunshine and we’re quickly back to temperatures above normal.
Our next system comes Saturday with rain chances. The best chance to see rain is the southern half of our coverage area, but rain will spread from the south to the north and be somewhat scattered in nature as it develops throughout the first half of Saturday. Amounts will be light and minimal.
After that, the pattern will settle for a few days for the end of the weekend and start of next week. A few more rain chances have been sprinkled into the longer-range forecast, too.
