Beautiful Close to the Week, Warming up this Weekend

A beautiful day ahead for the Heartland on Thursday as highs will reach the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine and light winds for the afternoon.

The latest runs of StormCast show minimal chances for cloud cover for the majority of the day on Thursday.

Lows will start out on the cooler side on Thursday morning, reaching the lower 40s to lower 50s.

Clear skies are expected through the overnight hours in Cape Girardeau, allowing overnight temperatures to fall to the upper 40s.

It does not get much better than this for a mid-May afternoon across the viewing area! Highs on Thursday will be close to average in the upper 70s.

Expect plenty of sunshine on Thursday afternoon in Cape. It will be a great day to enjoy any outdoor plans!

Chances for showers and possibly a thunderstorm are increasing late Friday and into the day on Saturday. StormCast shows chances for precipitation for the northern portions of the viewing area by Saturday evening.

We warm up through the weekend with highs reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s. The warm weather sticks around for the start of next week, ahead of a passing system and another chance of storms by next Tuesday.
