Closing the weekend with cooler temperatures to come (10/16/22)
The chance to see rain stayed to our south Saturday evening into Sunday morning. No accumulations across our coverage area were reported besides Kennett seeing just under a quarter of an inch. Both the severe storms and isolated showers stayed to our south and west while the next several days will remain dry.
The weekend will close out with lows dropping into the upper 30s to start Monday morning. Cooler temperatures will be upon us as we transition into the work week, as highs in the 50s replace the temperatures we saw this weekend in the 70s.
Temperatures will not vary all that much from north to south, and winds will be strong out of the northwest gusting upwards of 25 miles per hour. With the winds and cooler temperatures, it will feel quite a bit colder on Monday.
A Freeze Warning is currently in effect for Monday evening into Tuesday morning as low temperatures plummet into the 20s. Widespread frost will be possible both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings going forward. Besides the colder air settling in, it’s likely that we will not see precipitation for the next week or so.
