Cloudy, Chilly, Small Snow Chance for Sunday

Temperatures will be chilly across the heartland as we head into the Saturday evening, with air temperatures barley above double digits by midnight.

Temperatures overnight will drop into the single digits, leaving many of us with a very frigid start to our Sunday.

Partly cloudy skies tonight for Cape Girardeau, but it will not do much to keep in what little heat we may have picked up during the day.

After a frigid start to the day, StormCast shows a chance for light snow showers on Sunday afternoon.

High temperatures for Sunday will closely resemble our average low temperatures for the start of February, with many of us seeing highs in the middle to upper 20s.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day in Cape, with a light south-southwesterly wind.

The sun looks to return just in time for Groundhog’s Day, before another chance of rain and snow arrive son Tuesday. Temperatures drop close to freezing before gradually recovering through the end of the work week.
