Cold End to the Week 4/7/22

Kbsi Tomorrow High

The average high for April 8, 2022 is 66 degrees and we’re going to be nowhere near that. That map above with all the 40s for temperatures? Those are our expected highs on Friday! With plenty of cloud cover and the occasional rain shower, we’re going to be a good 20 degrees below average for the afternoon high on Friday. In fact, it’ll be cold enough in the morning that we may see a few snowflakes mix in! No accumulation is likely, but don’t be surprised if you see a brief snow shower.

This won’t last long, though. We start to warm back up on Saturday with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs, while still below average, getting back into the middle 50s. The wind will continue to have a bite to it and be out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

By Sunday, spring comes back. We’ll see mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s.

An unsettled weather pattern then moves into our area with thunderstorm chances Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Some of those storm may be severe, especially towards the middle of next week. That’s something I’ll be keeping a close eye on!
