Cold Start to the Weekend 4/8/2022
It is going to be cold to start the weekend! So cold that there is a Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory in place for Saturday morning across much of the KSBI viewing area. Temperatures will likely drop to around the freezing mark for a few hours early in the morning before warming up into the middle and upper 50s by the afternoon. There will be plenty of sunshine during the day, but a northwest breeze will give us a chill for most of it.
We will see more sunshine on Sunday, but the wind will be gusting out of the south at 10 to 25 mph. That south wind will help warm us up, though. Highs will be in the lower and middle 70s… maybe a few upper 70s, as well!
The 70s remain in the forecast for several days, but with the added heat and some moisture streaming in from the south, the chance for showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast. We will also have the chance at seeing strong to severe storms, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, which is something we’ll keep a close eye on!
