Cooler Again on Sunday
Chances for scattered showers stick around through the end of the weekend as the Heartland will see another day of below-average temperatures on Sunday.
Above is the latest run of StormCast showing the chance for an occasional shower through the overnight hours. Brief scattered showers will be possible again on Sunday.
Heading into Sunday morning, temperatures will fall to the middle and upper 60s for the viewing area with a westerly wind.
A few showers remain possible for Cape Girardeau through the rest of the evening into early Sunday morning. Temperatures will fall close to average, into the upper 60s by sunrise.
Afternoon highs remain noticeably cooler for the viewing area, with some areas once again only reaching the 70s.
Keep an eye on the radar throughout the afternoon in Cape; a spot shower or two remain possible through the day on Monday alongside cooler afternoon temperatures.
We gradually warm up through the week ahead with sunshine returning to the forecast. Back into the upper 80s and lower 90s by Wednesday, with small chances for storms returning for the end of the work week.
