Cooler, less humid following rain through early Sunday
While some of us have seen some showers and storms earlier Saturday, we aren’t done just yet. Rain chances continue through Sunday morning, tapering off by the afternoon. One of the things keeping us cooler for Sunday will be the rain-cooled air and the cloud cover.
The best chance for this system to bring rain will be after midnight, particularly before daybreak for southeast Missouri. Rain will be pushing toward western Kentucky later on as this system moves south and east.
We are finally experiencing some relief as the front moved through earlier on Saturday. Heat headlines have been dismissed and we’ll be cooler for some time. High temperatures for the next several days will be in the low to mid 80s for a change!
With that, we’ll see some relief from the humidity as well. Dew point temperatures will be dropping to the middle 60s by early next week.
Quiet and cooler as we close out the month of August, so hopefully you can get out and enjoy it!
