Cooler stretch continues through next week
For another day, we’ve been cooler than average as we only saw the upper 50s for a daytime high temperature. Usually at this point in April, we are in the lower 70s. On that cold note, we have Frost Advisories issued for most of us this evening through 9 a.m. on Monday again. Reynolds and Madison Counties are under a Freeze Warning in southeast Missouri.
Temperatures are expected to fall to near-freezing or a few degrees below tonight, with the potential for frost formation under these conditions. Mostly clear skies and calm winds are expected. Monday will start off nearing some records, and it should be one of our coldest starts of the week.
The Java Jumpstart by Scooter’s has temperatures warming to the middle 40s by the time the Frost Advisory expires, and high temperatures by the afternoon will be slightly warmer than what we saw on Sunday, making it into the middle 60s.
Temperatures for the majority of the week will be cooler than normal. An unsettled pattern will bring rain chances off and on throughout the week, with our first chance by Tuesday.
